Chad Horsford has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Chad started in 2009 as an intern at Sustainable South Bronx, where they conducted research on urban agriculture and assisted in designing a study on diesel retrofit programs. In 2010, they interned at the Labor Community Strategy Center/Bus Riders Union, creating policy memos and assisting with fundraising activities. That same year, they also interned at the Sustainability Integration Office as a summer intern. In 2011, Chad worked as a Teaching Assistant at Citizen Schools and as a Summer Intern at the Pomona Hope Community Center. From 2011 to 2014, they served as a Grad Researcher at the Program for Environmental and Regional Equity at USC. In 2014, Chad joined Abode Communities as a Business Development Intern and progressed to become a Business Development Associate and later an Assistant Project Manager in Business Development. Chad supported the organization by identifying and securing new affordable housing and community development projects, conducting site analysis, creating financial models, and conducting large-scale data analysis projects. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Project Manager at PATH VENTURES. Currently, Chad is working at California Housing Partnership, where they started as a Housing Finance Consultant and was later promoted to Senior Housing Finance Consultant.
Chad Horsford started their educational journey in 2003 at Westminster School, where they completed their high school diploma. Chad then went on to attend Pomona College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis with a concentration in Sociology. Continuing their academic pursuits, Chad joined UCLA from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning degree.
