Ryan Akers

Ryan Akers serves as the Assistant Director for Student Employment at the California Institute of the Arts since May 2022, providing guidance to students regarding on-campus employment and managing various employment-related processes. Previous roles include Student Employment Coordinator and Career Counselor at California Lutheran University and Lead Student Success Coach at Los Angeles Pierce College. Ryan's experience encompasses overseeing student employment, curriculum development, crisis intervention training, and conducting research on the mental health of adolescents. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Counseling and College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge.
