Melissa DeLaGarza has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Melissa started their career in 2005 as an Administrative Assistant at Tule River Tribal Council, where they worked until 2016. Melissa then joined Tule River Study Center as an Educator Specialist, focusing on enhancing educational opportunities for students on the Tule River Indian Reservation. Melissa worked at the Study Center until 2020. From 2020 to 2023, they served as a Behavioral Therapist at A CHANGE IN TRAJECTORY, INC., where they provided therapy to individuals with mental health disorders. Currently, Melissa is working as a Lead Teacher at California Rural Indian Health Board, starting in 2023.
