Tamika Bennett, MPH has worked in various roles since 1995. Tamika began their career as a Program Outreach/Housing Manager for the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) in 2004. In 2007, they became a Youth Development Manager at Juma Ventures, where they supervised a staff of 55 personnel and trained them in youth development curriculum. From 2012 to 2014, Bennett served as the Executive Director and Chief Professional Officer at East County Boys & Girls Club, supervising a staff of ~50 personnel and developing marketing materials. From 2014 to 2020, they were the Executive Director at EXCEL ROSEVILLE, overseeing the operation and management of a budget and providing technical expertise and information regarding best practices and resource development for child and family services. In 2020, Bennett began working as a Senior Project Coordinator for the California Rural Indian Health Board, where they analyze program plans, implementation and evaluation of program objectives, and activities for tribes and/or tribal health programs. Additionally, they are an Adjunct Professor at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, where they facilitate virtual and in-person lectures and sessions and develops course curriculum and content.

Tamika Bennett, MPH received their Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University - East Bay in 2007. Tamika then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health degree from National University, which they completed in 2020. Her field of study was Mental Health Counseling/Counselor.
