Scott Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Scott most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer at the California School Boards Association starting in 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems from 2013 to 2016. Scott also served as a Program Manager at the San Juan Unified School District from 2012 to 2013 and as a Service Program Manager at Verizon Business from 2011 to 2012. Before that, they worked as a Senior Information Technology Analyst at the Sacramento Superior Court from 2008 to 2011. Scott has also held various positions at Intel Corporation, including Senior Project Manager, Business Analyst, WAN Capacity Management, and Senior Network Specialist, Project Manager. Additionally, they served as the Senior VP and CIO at London Pacific Advisors and as a Project Manager and Product Engineer at Intel Corporation.

Scott Hamilton obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of California, Davis, from 1991 to 1993. Scott later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Information Technology and Statistical Analysis at the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management from 1999 to 2003.

In terms of certifications, Scott obtained the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) Intermediate certification in December 2011. Scott also holds the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation certification, obtained in October 2010. In addition, Scott is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which they obtained in December 2009. Scott has further certifications in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v2 Practitioner, specializing in Service Level Management (SLM) obtained in October 2007, and Change / Release / Configuration Management obtained in June 2005. Scott also holds the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v2 Foundation certification obtained in May 2005.
