Sylvia Leong

Sylvia Leong serves as the Board President and a Governing Board Member for the Cupertino Union School District since September 2015, while also working as a Substitute Teacher. Additionally, Sylvia holds the position of Director-At-Large for the Asian Pacific Islander section of the California School Boards Association since December 2022. As an independent College Admissions and Career Consultant since November 2015, Sylvia aids prospective graduate students in developing competitive application strategies. Previous roles include Undergraduate Admissions Freshman Reader at the University of California, Berkeley, and several key positions at Carnegie Mellon University Silicon Valley and the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, focusing on admissions and external relations. Sylvia began the career as an English Second Language Instructor and a College & University Recruiter. Sylvia earned a BA in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley and furthered education at the University of Southern California.
