Kari Pederson

Kari Pederson is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of chemistry, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at California State University-Dominguez Hills since August 2018. Previous roles include Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Randolph-Macon College and multiple postdoctoral research positions at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, where significant contributions were made to the development of methods for isolating heparan sulfate oligosaccharides and studying protein interactions using NMR techniques. Kari Pederson also has experience in teaching and creating innovative curricula to enhance science literacy, alongside a strong educational background culminating in a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Washington.
