Nida Sheikh is currently a Peer Advisor at California State University, Los Angeles, and an Undergraduate Academic Senator for Associated Students, Incorporated at the same institution. Nida actively advocates for students and supports them with curriculum and educational policies while enhancing institutional capacity for transfer student success in STEM fields through the Successful Transfer and Retention Program (STAR). As Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers, Nida empowers women in engineering and recognizes their contributions. Nida has experience as a Research Assistant designing machine learning models for biomedical systems, and has also served as a Computer Science Tutor, training new tutors in various subjects. Nida's background includes working with NASA on a root cause analysis project and serving in multiple tutoring roles at Pasadena City College. Nida holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles, and previously earned an Associate of Science degree from Pasadena City College.
