Anne Luna-Gordinier is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in sociology, currently serving as an Associate Professor at California State University-Sacramento since August 2016, focusing on sociological theory, social inequalities, environmental sociology, and gender studies. In addition to teaching, Anne is actively involved in leadership roles within the California Faculty Association, including Co Chair of the Womxn’s Caucus and Vice President of the Capitol Chapter, where efforts are focused on promoting anti-racism and social justice. Past roles include positions as a consultant for the Bureau of Justice Statistics, a visiting assistant professor at Susquehanna University, and a graduate assistant at Howard University. Anne holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Anthropology from Howard University and multiple degrees from the University of Arizona and University of California, Berkeley, emphasizing expertise in Native American studies and law.
