Joy Anderson

Joy Anderson has extensive experience in policy coordination and youth advocacy, particularly within the realms of mental health and child welfare. Notably serving as a Remote Post Secondary Academic Coach at PIVOTAL from October 2019 to June 2022, Joy previously held significant roles at California Youth Connection, including Mental Health Policy Coordinator and Statewide Policy Coordinator. Joy demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills by developing advocacy platforms, facilitating retreats, and mentoring youth advocates to engage in policy change. Earlier experiences include roles as a Youth Trainer with the YOUTH Training Project and a Youth Speaker for Community Works: Project WHAT!, showcasing a commitment to empowering youth voices. Joy holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
