Tamara Orozco

Tamara Orozco is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for Californians Together since October 2023. In this role, Tamara develops and implements comprehensive strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement, overseeing marketing, public relations, and narrative change initiatives. Previous experience includes Director of Marketing & Communications at the Museum of the African Diaspora, where Tamara executed strategies promoting exhibitions and educational programs, and Marketing & Communications Manager at Momentum for Health, focusing on adult mental health services. Additionally, Tamara held senior roles at United Way Bay Area and Juma Ventures, directed outreach at Kaiser Permanente, and managed community engagement at Beats, Rhymes and Life, Inc. Tamara's educational background includes a Master's degree in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Raza Studies from San Francisco State University.
