Chatu Lokuge

Chatu Lokuge's work experience includes:

- Currently serving as the IE Commercial Director at Callaghan Innovation, starting in August 2022.

- Previously worked as the Team Leader RTS Communications at Callaghan Innovation from February 2018 to August 2022, managing a team of ten and handling various business and marketing strategies, staff management, budget forecasting, contract negotiation, project management, and more.

- Prior to that, worked as a Business Solutions Specialist at Callaghan Innovation from September 2016 to January 2018, generating potential commercial R&D contract leads and successfully negotiating and translating R&D proposals into signed contracts.

- Also worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Callaghan Innovation (previously known as Industrial Research Limited) from February 2013 to September 2016, with expertise in wireless research, specifically in MAC layer protocol development, ad-hoc networking, and cognitive radios.

- Has experience as the Director of Chaiish Ltd since July 2007, a rental business catering to expatriates.

- Additionally, has served as the Director of Nandana Trading Ltd since September 2008, a notable exporter of fine Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka to various countries.

- Started the career as a Senior Research Scientist at Industrial Research Ltd in January 1997 and continued until February 2013.

Chatu Lokuge obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1993. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1996, they pursued a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at Massey University in New Zealand. Continuing their education, Chatu Lokuge completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from APESMA in collaboration with Deakin University, from 1999 to 2002.
