Jenny Douché

Jenny Douché has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jenny'smost recent position was at Callaghan Innovation, where they served as a Startup & Founder Product Owner. Jenny has a strong passion for startups and has managed startup support programs. Prior to that, they worked as the RDTI Communications Insights & Projects Lead and RDTI Engagement Specialist at the same company. Jenny also has experience in customer management.

Before their time at Callaghan Innovation, Jenny worked as an Innovation Specialist at WellingtonNZ. Jenny was responsible for driving innovation initiatives within the organization. Jenny also served as the National Manager - Business Innovation at CCS Disability Action, where they researched and developed social enterprises.

Jenny has a background in academia as well. Jenny created and led the multidisciplinary "Master of Innovation and Commercialization" program at Victoria University of Wellington. Jenny also worked as a PhD student at the same institution.

Earlier in their career, Jenny worked as a business advisor and publisher at Screwtop Limited, where they mentored people and wrote a book on market validation. Jenny also managed the "Activate" program at Grow Wellington on a 12-month contract. Jenny has entrepreneurial experience as the Chief Executive and Director of Avocado Press Limited, where they published books to raise funds for animal welfare organizations.

Jenny'searly career includes roles at Telecom New Zealand, where they served as the Manager of Print Communications, and Wellington Newspapers Limited, where they started their career as an advertising cadet and eventually became the sales team manager.

Throughout their career, Jenny has proven their dedication to supporting startups, driving innovation, and leveraging their entrepreneurial skills.

Jenny Douché holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management from Victoria University of Wellington, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Prior to their PhD, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business from the same university, studying from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, Jenny completed a Diploma in Marketing Management from Open Polytechnic of NZ between 1996 and 1997, specializing in Marketing/Marketing Management.
