Sherry Sours-Brothers

Dr. Sherry Sours-Brothers has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Director of US Medical Information and Scientific Communications at Calliditas Therapeutics. In their previous role as Director of Publications and Scientific Communications at Chinook Therapeutics, they established the publications and scientific communications function, leading the development of publication plans for multiple clinical-stage programs. Sherry also implemented operational improvements, including establishing MLR processes and a reference library. Prior to this, Dr. Sours-Brothers worked as the Associate Director of Internal Medical Affairs at Reata Pharmaceuticals. Sherry has also contributed significantly to the American Heart Association as part of their research and outcome evaluation teams. In addition, they have held leadership positions at The University of Texas at Arlington and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Sours-Brothers started their career as a scientific research liaison at The Medical Affairs Company and served as the Director of Operations at Spot On Sciences. Sherry holds a PhD and has conducted extensive research in the field of nephrology.

Sherry Sours-Brothers, PhD, holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from UNT Health Science Center, as well as an MS in Biotechnology from the same institution. Sherry also obtained a BS in Biology from the University of North Texas.
