Jeff Balmer

Jeff Balmer has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Jeff served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Callon Petroleum Company starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Encana Corporation where they held various roles, including Operations Vice President and General Manager for the Permian/Southern Operating Area. In this position, they were responsible for EHS, drilling, completions, production, facilities, and reservoir development/characterization. Jeff also served as the Operations Vice President and General Manager for the Western Operating Area at Encana Corporation.

Jeff Balmer earned a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1988. Jeff continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Environmental and Planning Engineering in 1993. Jeff further pursued their studies at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Petroleum Engineering in 1998.
