Janet Clayton

Janet Clayton has a long and varied work experience. Janet began their career in 1995 as the Assistant Managing Editor/California Editor at the Los Angeles Times. In this role they were the masthead editor in charge of all California coverage and led and managed the largest portion of the Times' total reporting staff. Janet was also the Editor of the Editorial Pages, where they determined the paper's official positions on all foreign, national and local issues and hosted national and world leaders on behalf of the Times. In 2008, they became the President of ThinkCure. From 2011 to 2018, they worked as the Senior Vice President at Edison International/Southern California Edison. Currently, they are the Director of the Board of Directors at CALmatters and a Strategic Advisor at Vectis DC.

Janet Clayton graduated from the University of Southern California in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
