Karen Bonnar

Karen Bonnar has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Karen started their career at NEC Electronics as a Product Engineer from January 2000 to February 2002. Following that, they joined Radar World Ltd as the Head of Testing and Quality from March 2002 to April 2004. Karen then worked at Atmel Corporation as a Product Engineer from April 2004 to September 2009.

Next, Karen pursued a different path and became self-employed as a Cake Baker and Decorator from May 2013 to December 2014. Afterward, they joined Calnex Solutions as a System Test Engineer from September 2014 to November 2017. Karen progressed to the role of Senior System Test Engineer at the same company and worked from September 2016 to December 2020. Karen then became a System Test Manager at Calnex Solutions in November 2017 and held that position until their most recent role as a Support Manager, which they started in November 2021.

Throughout their career, Karen has gained extensive experience in various aspects of testing, including creating and reviewing test strategies, resource estimates, test analysis from requirements, and test execution. Karen is skilled in manual and automated development, using tools such as Tcl, Python, VBA, C#, Nunit, Jsystem, Visual Studio, iTest, API testing, Windows and Web App testing, cross-browser testing, continuous integration, SVN, Wireshark, Bugzilla, JIRA, and TestRail. Karen has also contributed to peer review, mentoring, and training activities.

Karen Bonnar earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
