Head Chef ( Pre - Opening ) at Calo

Kuldeep Thakur has extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Kuldeep began their career in 2007 as a Commi at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG™) and then worked as a Demi chef de partie at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts from 2009 to 2012. Kuldeep then joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. as a Chef, where they assisted with banquet kitchen operations and took care of brunch buffets and banquets.

In 2013, Kuldeep became the Head Chef at Etihad, overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring impeccable service and quality for guests. Kuldeep was also responsible for catering loading and food quality in First Class and participated in various functions.

From 2021 to 2022, they worked as an Executive Chef at Jade Restaurant, where they enforced food quality and safety standards, reduced waste and expenses through effective supply management, and ensured consistent plating and presentation.

Currently, Kuldeep is serving as the Head Chef (Pre-Opening) at Calo Inc., where they collaborate with the R&D team to set the menu and trains and manages staff. Kuldeep oversees workflow, ensures equipment and HACCP procedures are followed, monitors food costs and wastage, and addresses food quality complaints.

Throughout their career, Kuldeep Thakur has consistently demonstrated their expertise in culinary operations, food safety, and team management.

Kuldeep Thakur's education history highlights a range of experiences in aviation, hotel management, and business studies. In 2013, they attended Etihad Training Academy to pursue in-flight chef training, focusing on aviation and airway management and operations. Prior to this, from 2005 to 2008, Kuldeep Thakur earned a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, specializing in food preparation, professional cooking, and kitchen assistance. Before entering the hospitality industry, between 2003 and 2005, they completed their High School Diploma at the University of Mumbai, with a significant focus on business and commerce.
