Praful Zala

Praful Zala is an experienced power plant operator and technician with a career spanning over three decades in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Power Plant Operator Technician III and Shift Supervisor at Calpine since February 2019, Praful has previously held the position of Control Room Operations at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since June 2012, where responsibilities included the startup and shutdown of a 624 MW combined cycle power plant. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Control Ops at GWF Power Systems from March 1989 to March 2012, focusing on the operations of fossil fuel power plants while adhering to environmental regulations. Earlier in the career, Praful worked as a Control Room Operator at LUZ Engineering and as a Junior Engineer at Bombay Off-Shore (ONGC) Drilling. Praful holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Government Polytechnic.
