Erin Arthur has worked as a Lead Aeronautical Engineer at Calspan since 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Aerospace Engineer at the same company. In their role as a Senior Aerospace Engineer, they led projects in Calspan’s transonic wind tunnel, coordinated testing requirements with customers, and managed test preparation and execution. Before joining Calspan, Erin worked in the US Navy from 2009 to 2019. Erin served as an NROTC Instructor from 2015 to 2019, where they were responsible for training and progression of pilots. Prior to that, they worked as a Naval Aviator, where they held various jobs involving planning and scheduling of squadron assets, managed flight hour allocation and ship schedules, and served as a detachment operations officer on board a destroyer. Erin's work experience also includes their time as a Student Naval Aviator, where they studied to become a Naval Aviator and received training in various aircraft.

Erin Arthur holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington, which was obtained from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, Erin also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, with minors in Spanish and Chinese, from the United States Naval Academy from 2005 to 2009.
