Sharon Hendricks

Sharon Hendricks is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and board governance. Currently serving as a Board Member for the CalSTRS Teachers Retirement Board since January 2012, Sharon holds the position of community college representative for the 2020-24 term. Additionally, Sharon is a Strategic Advisor for MSCI Sustainability Institute and has been the Director at Principles for Responsible Investment since April 2019. As a Professor at Los Angeles City College since February 2004, Sharon specializes in teaching public speaking and American English pronunciation to non-native speakers. Sharon also served as Treasurer for the Los Angeles College Faculty Guild from June 2018 to May 2022, managing the local budget. Educational credentials include an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Communication from Seattle Pacific University.
