Shifat Hasan

Shifat Hasan, CFA, CMA has worked at CalSTRS since 2012, starting as a Senior Manager in Investment Accounting and Treasury. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Associate Portfolio Manager and then became the Director of Investment Performance and Compliance in February 2019. Prior to joining CalSTRS, Shifat worked at Crestone Capital Advisors as the Portfolio Accounting Manager from 2008 to 2012.

Shifat Hasan, CFA, CMA holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Texas A&M University-Commerce, completed in 2013. Shifat also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business, completed between 2004 and 2006. In addition, they hold certifications in both CMA (Institute of Management Accountants, obtained in 2011) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from CFA Institute.
