Ana Gervassi

Principal Scientist at Calviri

Ana Gervassi has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Currently, they are working as a Principal Scientist at CALVIRI since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at CALVIRI starting from the same month and year. Between 2008 and 2020, Ana worked at the Center for Infectious Diseases Research, where they served as a Senior Scientist from October 2010 to the present, and as a Science Education Fellow from March 2008 to October 2010.

In 2013, Ana joined the Center for AIDS Research as the Specialized Cellular Immunity Subcore Director until April 2022. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Benaroya Research Institute from July 2007 to March 2008, and at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute from April 2004 to June 2007.

Early in their career, Ana was a Doctoral Student and Senior Research Associate at Corixa Corporation from May 1995 to March 2004. Ana began their research journey as a Research Tech at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from January 1992 to April 1995. Prior to that, they worked as an RH Williams Laboratory Assistant at the University of Washington from April 1990 to December 1991.

Ana Gervassi holds a PhD in Pathobiology from the University of Washington, which they obtained between 1997 and 2004. Prior to their doctoral studies, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences at the same university from 1989 to 1993. Ana also completed their Bachelor's degree in Human Physiology and Cell Biology at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1985 to 1989.
