Don Bloomfield's work experience begins in 2001 when they worked as an Architectural Draftsman at Small Quinton Coleman Architects until 2003. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as an In-house Coding and Web Development specialist at Fivefold Creative - Graphic Design, where they were involved in projects such as coding a dual Mac-OS and Windows CD Flash-based game and creating an HTML-based Annual Report for a government department. In 2004, they became a self-employed IT Consultant, offering IT solutions for small businesses including office applications, internet presence, and connected applications. In 2005, they joined ABC as an Audio Engineer and later became a Team Leader / Technical Producer in the Canberra Parliament House bureau. Don worked there until 2016, handling various responsibilities, including ANZAC Day coverage. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a VR Graphics Specialist at Raytheon Australia. Currently, since March 2021, they are working as a Simulation Developer at Calytrix Technologies.
Don Bloomfield earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Architecture from the University of Canberra.
