Rubens Covello, MD, BBA, PCHA, MBA, is a seasoned healthcare leader with extensive experience in accreditation and quality standards. As the Founding Partner and CEO of QGA - Quality Global Alliance since 2006, Rubens has been instrumental in establishing world standards of excellence in people-centered healthcare. Rubens co-founded the Health Standards Organization, focusing on innovation and patient safety across over 30 countries. In addition, Rubens holds leadership roles in various organizations, including Director Executivo e Presidente do Conselho de Acreditacao at CLACS LATAM, a position held since 2022, and Member of the EEA Accreditation Board at ISQua. Rubens has also served as Vice President of the Board at CBEXs and as Director for Brazil at Accreditation Canada. The influential work includes founding the Brazilian Program of Patient Safety and leading IQG, which specializes in accreditation. Rubens holds a medical degree from UNIFIPA and an MBA from FECAP.
