Marty McMurry has extensive work experience in the field of configuration management. Marty has served in roles such as Configuration Analyst Lead, Data Manager, Contract Site Manager, NWTTR Engineering Manager, NWTTR Configuration Manager, Technical Services Manager, Configuration Management Supervisor, and Configuration Manager. Marty has worked for notable companies such as HII Technical Solutions, Alion Science and Technology, Amentum, AECOM/URS/EG&G, AECOM, U.S. Cargo Systems, AAR Cargo Systems, URS Corporation, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and Maricopa Controls, Inc. In their various roles, they have been responsible for overseeing technical teams, managing engineering change activity, ensuring compliance with configuration management standards, and overall business success.

Marty McMurry completed their education at various institutions over the years. Marty first attended GateWay Community College from 1985 to 1986, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Electro-mechanical Drafting. Marty then transferred to Park University, studying Computer and Information Sciences from 2011 to 2017. However, they ultimately graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems from East Carolina University - College of Business, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. At East Carolina University, their field of study focused on Systems Analysis and Design, as well as Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing.

In addition to their formal education, Marty also obtained several certifications. These certifications include the Emerging Leaders Program from The BB&T Leadership Institute in April 2019, HTML Essential Training and PHP Essential Training from Lynda.com in April 2018, and Access 2013 Essential Training, InfoPath 2013 Essential Training, Managing Documents with SharePoint 2010, Managing Records in SharePoint, Relational Database Fundamentals, SharePoint 2010 Essential Training, and SharePoint 2010 for Site Champions and Power Users, all from lynda.com in March 2015. Marty also earned the EIA 649A Configuration Management certification from CM-STAT in March 2009. Marty's qualifications further include a DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level, obtained from the United States Department of Defense in September 2007, and being an FAA Certified Repairman since December 2004.
