Michael Lutman

Michael Lutman currently serves as the Department Commander for Pacific Areas at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), overseeing operations in multiple countries including Japan, Korea, and Australia since June 2022. Lutman has held various leadership roles within the VFW, including Department Senior Vice Commander and District Commander for Mainland Japan. In addition to VFW responsibilities, Lutman is a Senior Engineer at HII Technical Solutions, specializing in Tomahawk Cruise Missile Operations, leveraging extensive command-level experience to enhance customer support. Lutman also contributes as a member of the U.S.-Japan Navy Friendship Association, promoting mutual understanding between the U.S. and Japan. Previous positions include Senior Engineer at Camber Corporation and Novonics Corporation, where Lutman focused on training methodologies and simulation systems, as well as project management for significant renovation projects in Japan. Education includes a degree in Management Studies from Excelsior University.
