Nick Aquiningoc

Nick Aquiningoc started their work experience in 2014 as an Information Systems Technician in the US Navy. In this role, they served until 2019. In 2019, they joined Telos Corporation as a System Administrator, where they worked until November. Later in 2019, they started working at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, as a VMware Engineer. From there, they quickly progressed to become the VMware Engineering Team Lead, managing a team of 7 engineers and system administrators. In this role, they were responsible for leading the engineering and administration of the entire virtual server stack, testing and deploying new virtualized solutions, and managing and securing multiple on-premises vSphere environments.

Nick Aquiningoc attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity.

In addition to their degree, Nick has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they obtained the CompTIA A+ ce certification from CompTIA, and in 2015, they earned the CompTIA Security+ ce certification from the same institution.

In 2016, Nick achieved the VMware Certified Associate 6 - Datacenter Virtualization certification from VMware. Nick further expanded their expertise with VMware certifications, earning the VMware vSphere 6.7 Foundations certification in 2019, followed by the VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization certification in 2021, 2022, and 2023 from VMware.

Lastly, in 2019, Nick obtained the MCSA: Windows Server 2016 - Certified certification from Microsoft, and in 2019, they also became a Microsoft Certified Professional.
