Phil Meyer

Phil Meyer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Phil is currently the Principle Lead Cyber Network Engineer at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. Prior to this, they worked as an Operations Supervisor at Rhode Island Air National Guard and as a Manager of Information Security at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Phil also served as an Information Systems Security Manager at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Client Systems/RF Technician Supervisor at the Massachusetts Air National Guard and as a General Engineer at UTC Aerospace Systems. Phil began their career in the United States Air Force as an RF Technician Craftsman. Additionally, they worked as a Farmhand at Meyer Dairy.

Phil Meyer began their education journey at the Community College of the Air Force from 1997 to 2004, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Systems Technology. Phil then attended Bristol Community College from 2004 to 2006, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Engineering Science. Later, from 2007 to 2008, Phil pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. Phil further continued their education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2012 to 2021, where they completed their Master of Science in Systems Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Phil also obtained several certifications to strengthen their skillset. In September 2010, they achieved the Security+ certification from CompTIA. In December 2013, Phil obtained the Certified Industrial Security Systems Professional certification from (ISC)². Furthermore, in October 2016, they acquired the GIAC Certified Incident Handler certification from the SANS Institute.
