Melissa Yates May

Melissa Yates May has over 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience. Prior to their role as Chief People Officer at Cambium Learning Group starting in 2020, they held various positions at Rosetta Stone. At Rosetta Stone, they served as the Chief People Officer from 2004 to 2020, where they gained expertise in organizational design and development, succession planning, change management, and HR operations. Melissa also held the positions of VP, Talent Experience, Sr. HR Director, Talent Management, Sr. Director, Global HR Operations, Director of Human Resources, HR Manager, HR Generalist, and HR Coordinator. Before joining Rosetta Stone, Melissa worked at RR Donnelley as an HR Associate from 1999 to 2004. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated the ability to establish credibility with diverse groups and has experience in various life cycle stages of a company including private equity and rapid growth.

Melissa Yates May attended Eastern Mennonite University from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management and Organizational Development. Prior to that, they pursued coursework towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management at Old Dominion University from 2003 to 2008. Melissa also completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Transfer Studies at Blue Ridge Community College Weyers Cave, VA, from 2001 to 2003.
