Zhen Huang Cao

Zhen Huang Cao is currently the Director of Business Development at Cambrian. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director of Business Development at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) from September 2019 to March 2022. Before that, they were a Consultant at Alacrita Consulting from September 2017 to August 2019, where they provided regional and world-wide asset search and evaluation support for multiple biotech and pharmaceutical companies in various therapeutic areas. Zhen has also conducted market and competitive landscape assessments to guide the business and product development strategies of their therapeutic assets. In addition, they have provided general business development support for various clients, including supporting licensing negotiations, therapeutic pipeline valuations and deal structure modelling, and acting as a part-time Business Development Manager to identify strategic alliances.

Zhen Huang Cao has a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Cambridge. Zhen also has a BA in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Chicago. Zhen Huang Cao is also certified from Dale Carnegie Training in Dale Carnegie Immersion Seminar and from the Biotechnology Innovation Organization in Advanced Business Development.

Zhen Huang Cao reports to Mark Nuttall, EVP, Business Development. They are on a team with Alexandra Baranowski - Business Operations Manager, Erik Schneider - Director, Business Development, and Jasmine Malshe - Senior Business Operations Manager.
