Keith Sawyer

Keith Sawyer is a distinguished academic and author with extensive experience in education and innovation. Currently serving as the Morgan Distinguished Professor in Educational Innovations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Keith leads the Learning Sciences and Psychological Studies program and oversees the Chancellor’s Faculty Entrepreneurship Workshop. Publication credits include six scholarly books with Cambridge University Press and four with Oxford University Press, demonstrating expertise in sociological theory and collaborative scholarship. Previously, Keith held faculty positions at Washington University in St. Louis and served as a visiting professor at institutions such as Savannah College of Art and Design and the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Keith has engaged in unique side projects, such as accordion repair, connecting with diverse clientele while fostering hands-on skills. An education from the University of Chicago and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology further complements Keith’s academic credentials.
