Greg Butt has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Greg started their career as a Sales Assistant at Halfords in 2010 and then worked as a Bartender at Westward Arms and Greene King. In 2011, they took on roles in the Southampton University Kitesurfing Society, serving as Vice President from 2011 to 2012 and then as President from 2012 to 2013.

In 2013, Greg became a Project Manager at The Student Kitesurfing Association. Greg then worked as an Engineering Graduate at Unipart Rail from August 2014 to January 2015. Following this, they joined Avon Magnetics Ltd as a Wound Component Design Engineer, where they were responsible for technical design and product development of transformers and inductors.

Greg gained experience in the defense sector when they worked at the UK Ministry of Defence as an Equipment Engineering Authority, focusing on maintaining equipment availability and producing technical documentation. Greg then joined Renishaw UK & Ireland, where they held various roles in supply chain engineering, including Supply Chain Development Engineer, Supply Chain Engineer, and Senior Supply Chain Engineer. Their responsibilities included managing supplier quality issues and contributing to the implementation of best practice quality.

Greg's most recent role has been at Cambridge Audio, where they work as a Sourcing Engineer. In this position, they focus on addressing sourcing challenges in consumer electronics, improving the new product development process, and integrating commercial and supply chain risks into component selection.

Throughout their career, Greg has demonstrated strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and process improvement.

Greg Butt attended the University of Southampton from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Engineering. In September 2014, they also obtained membership in the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
