Dan Brudzewsky has worked in a variety of roles in the life sciences field since 2002. Dan began their career as a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Health Sciences, WJC for Functional Genome Research. In 2006, they moved to the University of Helsinki | Folkhälsan Institute of Genetics as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they conducted biomedical research in the field of molecular and genetic pathogenic aspects of neuromuscular disorders. In 2008, they moved to Imperial College London | Hammersmith Hospital as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they worked on molecular pathology of haematological disorders, oncology and thrombosis. In 2010, they moved to the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Medicine, IBILI as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they conducted pharmacological animal experimentation for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. In 2012, they were a Visiting Scientist at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology, Protein Laboratory. In 2015, they joined Multiplicom N.V. as a Field Application Specialist and Product Specialist, where they supported and trained customers on NGS based diagnostics for genetic disorders, cardiology, oncology and NIPT. In 2017, they moved to SeraCare Life Sciences as a Field Application Scientist, where they provided pre-sales and technical support on Seraseq™ patient-like reference materials. In 2020, they joined Personalis, Inc. as a Sr. Field Applications Scientist. In 2022, they moved to Cambridge Epigenetix as a Field Application Scientist.
Dan Brudzewsky obtained their PhD in Health Sciences, Medical Genetics from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in 2005. Prior to this, they obtained their MSc in Biochemistry from the same university in 2002, and their BSc in Biochemistry from the same university in 1999. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications; a HMX Pro Immunology - Immuno-Oncology certification from Harvard Medical School in June 2020, and an edX Professional Certificate for Marketing for Non-Marketers from edX.
