Jacek Szlachta has over 14 years of work experience in software engineering and DevSecOps engineering. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer at Top The Object People, where they worked on FairFare.co.uk, an online taxi booking service. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer at Science Navigation Group, where they worked on Casesdb.com, a searchable repository of case reports published in Journal of Medical Case Reports and Cases Journal. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Perspective Technologies. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a DevOps Engineer and Software Engineer at Sky, where they were responsible for building and maintaining dual data centre forked Cloud Foundry platform, an ELK stack and platform services. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at SapientRazorfish, where they worked on Lloyds digital transformation project and Open Banking DevOps team. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a DevSecOps Engineer at Vocalink, a Mastercard company, where they worked on the IPSX project and focused on security, performance and resilience. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a DevSecOps Engineer at EngineerBetter. Jacek is currently working as a DevSecOps Engineer at Cambridge Epigenetix and Sullivan & Stanley.

Jacek Szlachta obtained their Masters degree in Informatics and Econometrics from the Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie between 1999 and 2004. Since then, they have obtained several certifications, including Sun Certified Web Component Developer and Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in 2009 and 2008 respectively, and Complete Guide to Protocol Buffers 3 [Java, Golang, Python], Enterprise OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, gRPC [Golang] Master Class: Build Modern API & Microservices from Udemy in 2022. Jacek also obtained the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certifications from The Linux Foundation in 2022, and the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) certification from HashiCorp in 2023.
