Julia Vivian (nee Knoeckel)

Senior Scientist at Cambridge Epigenetix

Julia Vivian (nee Knoeckel) has a wealth of experience in the scientific field. Julia began their career in 2006 as a PhD student at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine. In 2008, they became a Visiting PHD Student at the University of Pretoria. From 2009 to 2013, they held the roles of Postdoctoral Visiting Fellow at NIAID, NIH and Visiting Scientist at Cornell University. During this time, they also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. In 2018, they joined Cambridge Epigenetix as a Senior Scientist and Protein Scientist, and also became a Senior Scientist at Qkine.

Julia Vivian (nee Knoeckel) began their educational journey in 2001 when they enrolled at Bielefeld University and earned their Diploma in Biology in 2006. Julia then continued their studies at the University of Hamburg and obtained their PhD in Molecular Biology, Parasitology, and Biochemistry in 2009.
