Shannon Sorensen

Shannon (Carlson) Sorensen, LICSW, is a seasoned professional in the behavioral health field with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance since September 2023, Shannon previously held the position of Behavioral Health Intensive Clinical Advisor, where successful initiatives led to significant reductions in acute behavioral health care utilization. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of the Child and Family Services Division at Riverside Community Care, where strategic oversight was provided for a division comprising 15 programs and over 300 employees. Shannon also operated a holistic health coaching practice and has a strong educational foundation with a Master of Social Work from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross, complemented by a Holistic Health Coach Certification.
