Bronwen Derry

Bronwen Derry is an experienced professional in the field of mechatronics, currently serving as the Director of SMA Technology at Cambridge Mechatronics Ltd since March 2011. With a progressive career path at the same company, Bronwen has held roles including Principal Development Engineer, Senior Development Engineer, and Development Engineer, focusing on the analysis and development of shape memory alloy wire and actuator performance through experimental design and prototype testing. Prior experience includes a summer internship at Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd, where Bronwen evaluated power and energy solutions for military applications, and another internship at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, conducting research on enzyme decontaminants. Bronwen holds an MSci degree in Natural Sciences with a focus on Physics from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2010, and attended South Wilts Grammar School from 2002 to 2006.
