Alex Kerin

Director Of Data Science, Road Safety at Cambridge Mobile Telematics

Alex Kerin has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting in 1999, Alex worked as a Research Fellow at MIT before transitioning to a Senior Consultant role at Circadian Technologies in 2001. At Circadian Technologies, Alex managed projects, built client relationships, and authored white papers and publications. In 2005, Alex took on the role of Product Marketing Manager at Kronos. After that, Alex started their own consulting business, Data Driven Consulting, where they specialized in market research, analysis, and report writing. Alongside running their consulting business, Alex also had roles at Kronos as a Senior Workforce Management Consultant and later as the Director of the Value Management and Strategic Consulting practice.

In 2017, Alex founded Patch Hill Forge, where they were the Owner and Designer. The company focused on repurposing historical or aesthetically interesting items sourced locally within a 50-mile radius. In 2018, Alex joined TRUX as the Head of Analytics and Insight, responsible for leading the analytics team. Lastly, Alex is currently working at Cambridge Mobile Telematics as the Director of Business Insights, and previously held the position of Leader of the Data Science Team.

Alex Kerin completed their education in the following order:

1. University of Bristol (1992-1995): Alex earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Aerospace Engineering.

2. University of Bristol (1995-1999): Alex pursued a Ph.D. in Bioengineering.

3. Purdue University (2011): Alex obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

4. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1999-2002): Alex completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.

5. MIT Sloan School of Management (2019): Alex received specialized education in Machine Learning: Implementation in Business.
