Orhun Muratoglu

Co-Founder at Cambridge Polymer

Orhun Muratoglu began their career in 1995 as an Instructor in Orthopedic Surgery (Biomaterials) at Harvard Medical School. Orhun was then promoted to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and finally Professor in Orthopedic Surgery (Biomaterials). In 1996, they co-founded the Cambridge Polymer Group. In 2001, they joined Massachusetts General Hospital as Director of the Harris Orthopaedics Laboratory, Director of the Technology Implementation Research Center, Co-Director of the Harris Orthopedics Laboratory, and Deputy Director of the Orthopedic Biomechanics and Biomaterials Laboratory. In 2013, they co-founded the Orthopaedic Technology Group. Additionally, they have been a Research Affiliate in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 1995.

Orhun Muratoglu obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995, after completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1993.
