Michelle Madera

Michelle Madera is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary and Early Education at Cambridge Public Schools. Prior to their current role, they served as a principal at Boston Public Schools. Michelle has also worked as a teacher and administrator in the Cambridge Public Schools system for many years. Michelle began their career as a teacher at Framingham State University before moving to Northeastern University to complete their administrative training.

Michelle Madera has a Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston in Leadership of Urban Schools, a B.S. from Boston University in Political Science/Secondary Education, and an Applied Linguistics degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

They are on a team with Nicole Gittens - Assistant Superintendent, Secondary Schools, Barbara Mullen - Interim Assistant Superintendent, Student Services, and Lyndsay P. Brown - Chief Strategy Officer. Michelle Madera reports to Victoria Greer, Superintendent.
