Khaldoon Ghanem has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Khaldoon began their career as a Software Developer at Joybox in 2010, and also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Damascus University in the same year. In 2012, they became a Research Assistant at the German Research School for Simulation Sciences. From 2014 to 2017, Ghanem worked as a Doctoral Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Khaldoon then moved to the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2017 to 2021. Most recently, Ghanem has been employed as a Scientific Software Developer at Genedata since 2021, and is set to become a Quantum Research Scientist at Cambridge Quantum in 2022.
Khaldoon Ghanem received their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Engineering - AI Track from Damascus University between 2005 and 2010. Khaldoon then went on to receive their Master's degree in Simulation Sciences from RWTH Aachen University between 2011 and 2013. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physics from RWTH Aachen University between 2014 and 2017.
