Peter Coates

Peter Coates has over 30 years of experience in banking, asset-based lending, and restructuring. Peter started their career at Marine Midland Bank/HSBC as an AVP in 1985 and worked there until 1996. Peter then joined People's United Bank as a Vice President from 1996 to 2002. Peter subsequently worked at RBS Citizens as a Senior Vice President from 2003 to 2013. Peter was responsible for developing and implementing restructuring strategies to minimize credit risk. After leaving RBS Citizens, Peter joined Salus Capital Partners as a Senior Vice President, Special Assets from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they managed a portfolio of special assets and proactively identified the needs of borrowers. Peter joined Cambridge Trust Company in 2016, first as the Vice President - Head of Asset Based Lending and subsequently as the First Vice President - Director of Asset Based Lending.

Peter Coates attended Westfield State University from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Management.
