SIG Champion at Cambridge Wireless

Andy Sutton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in network architecture and telecommunications. Currently serving as a BT Fellow and Principal Network Architect at BT, Andy is responsible for the evolution of 4G LTE and 5G RAN architecture, as well as mobile backhaul strategy. In addition to this role, Andy holds visiting professorships at both the University of Salford and the University of Liverpool, where responsibilities include delivering lectures, mentoring students, and contributing to academic advisory boards. Andy has been actively involved with Cambridge Wireless as a SIG Champion, focusing on enhanced mobile broadband and wireless heritage. Previous positions include leadership roles at ETSI, EE, and Hutchison 3G, with a robust educational background that includes a Master's degree in Mobile Communications Systems from the University of Salford and a recent certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in New Space Economy.
