Hugo Chiarella is a seasoned professional in the performing arts industry, currently serving as a Resident Director for both "Phantom of the Opera" in London and "Les Miserables" on its UK tour at Cameron Mackintosh Ltd since January 2020. With over a decade of experience as a writer and lyricist, Hugo has contributed to various projects in musical theatre, theatre, stage, and screen, with works performed at notable venues such as The Arts Centre Melbourne and Brisbane Powerhouse. Previous roles include Development Producer and Programme Assistant at Fuel Theatre, Research Coordinator at Elkiem, and Performer in the Australian and West End productions of "Les Miserables." Hugo also has experience as a Producer and Writer for original productions and mockumentary series, showcasing a diverse skill set across multiple artistic disciplines. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master's degree in Producing from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
