Luca de Alfaro

Luca de Alfaro is Camio’s Chief Scientist and a professor of computer science at UC Santa Cruz. At Camio, Luca teaches computers to understand your video without melting data center CPUs. Luca and Carter worked together at Google, where Luca developed CrowdSensus, the reputation system used to moderate Google Maps edits. He also developed the scoring mechanism for ranking of Google+ posts based on their social relevance. Luca earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
