Karen Gress has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. From 2019 to the present, they have been working as a Sr. Customer Success Engineer at CampaignDrive by Pica9. Prior to this, they operated their own freelance graphic design and website development business called k. j. Gress Designs since 2011. Before that, from 2003, they ran their own company, kj Gress Designs as Knitting Whimsies, where they developed and marketed a line of knitting patterns and maintained a Joomla-based website.

Starting in 2012, Karen worked at WellBiz Brands, Inc., initially as a Senior Graphic Design Specialist and later as the Manager and Senior Manager of Creative Services until 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team and overseeing creative projects. Additionally, from 2001 to 2014, they worked as an Instructor/ Retail Consultant at A Knitted Peace, where they developed course curriculum and helped with purchasing supplies.

Karen also had involvement in various positions at the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club from 2006 to 2011, including serving as President and Webmaster. Karen ran their own cleaning business, Save-the-House Cleaning, from 2001 to 2008. Karen also gained experience as an Assistant Teacher at D.C.S. Montessori from 1998 to 2000. Karen'searliest work experience was at the University of Missouri, Rolla newspaper, where they served as Photography Editor and Staff Photographer from 1983 to 1986.

Karen Gress began their education at the University of Missouri, Rolla in 1983 and completed their studies in Geology in 1986. Karen then attended the University of Kansas from 1989 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, with a specialization in Engineering Geology and a minor in Mathematics. Karen's educational journey continued as they enrolled in Arapahoe Community College from 2008 to 2011 and obtained an Associate's degree, focusing on Multimedia and Graphic Design.
