Lowell Ballard

Lowell Ballard serves as Chief Information Officer at CampusWorks, Inc. since October 2022, currently acting in this role for Lone Star College. Prior to this, Lowell held the position of Director of IT at Harris County Department of Education from August 2018 to January 2023, where significant initiatives included developing an IT strategy, enhancing security protocols, and migrating services to cloud platforms. Lowell's extensive experience also includes being CIO at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and Director of IT at Wheaton College. Notable achievements throughout Lowell's career include implementing enterprise applications, optimizing IT budgets, and leading various technological migrations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Systems from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, among other certifications and professional training engagements.
