Samantha Kessler, Ed.D has a diverse work experience in the field of institutional research, effectiveness, and assessment. Samantha began their career at Warren County Community College in 2010 as an Institutional Research Associate, PTK Advisor, and Adjunct Instructor. At this role, they coordinated institutional research activities, assisted with program review and student surveys, and served as an advisor for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
In 2012, Samantha moved to Henley-Putnam University where they worked as an Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Assessment Coordinator. Samantha was responsible for coordinating all institutional research, assessment, and program review activities. Samantha'stasks included analyzing and synthesizing data, drafting assessment reports, and making recommendations for follow-up items.
After that, Samantha joined Southeastern Community College as an Adjunct Instructor in 2012 and taught until 2016. Samantha then moved to Merritt College where they held multiple roles from 2015 to 2018, including Senior Research and Planning Analyst, Adjunct Instructor, and Research and Planning Officer. In these roles, they built the Institutional Research Office, conducted data trend analysis, supported departments in goal setting and decision making, and assisted with assessment and communication of results.
In 2019, Samantha became the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Chabot College. Samantha led and facilitated college-wide integrated planning and budgeting, supported the Shared Governance process, and collaborated on implementing Guided Pathways.
Samantha later joined San Francisco State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2020 to 2021, before taking up the role of an Institutional Research Consultant at CampusWorks, Inc. in 2021. Currently, they serve as a Senior Optimization Executive at the same company, starting in February 2022.
Throughout their career, Samantha has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, assessment, program review, and strategic planning within educational institutions.
Samantha Kessler, Ed.D has a Doctor of Education - EdD in Educational Leadership from San Francisco State University, which they earned from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Institutional Research from Humboldt State University, completing the program from 2016 to 2017. Samantha also holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Lehigh University, where they studied from 2009 to 2010. Samantha'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where they majored in Sociology, Spanish, and Women's Studies, graduating in 2009.
