Scott Lowe

Scott Lowe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Scott is currently working as the Vice President of Product and Commercial, B2B Content at Future since 2023. Before that, they were the CEO and Lead Industry Analyst at ActualTech Media from 2012 to 2023, during which they sold the company to Future plc.

Scott also worked as a Senior IT Executive (contractor) at CampusWorks, Inc. from 2008, where they provided clients with technology solutions and acted as interim CIO for a private liberal arts college. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Westminster College from 2006 to 2011, where they led IT operations and supported key campus initiatives.

In 2004, Scott worked as the Director of Information Technology at Elmira College, responsible for managing IT infrastructure and developing IT roadmaps. Scott also held the position of Director, Information Technology at the National Association of Attorneys General from 2001 to 2004.

Scott started their career at Thomson Reuters as a Systems Engineer, where they created Windows server infrastructure. Scott also worked as a Lead Network Analyst at the City of Gaithersburg and an Associate Director, Information Technology Services at Hamilton College.

Additionally, Scott has experience as a Continuing Education Instructor at Broome Community College.

Scott Lowe attended SUNY Broome Community College from 1991 to 1994, where they earned their Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science. Scott then went on to SUNY Empire State College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Scott Lowe also obtained the VMware vExpert certification from VMware in 2012.
